Accessibility

This site is built for families with disabilities, so accessibility isn't optional here. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA and we treat every barrier report as a bug.

What we've built in

  • Keyboard navigation across every page, with a skip-to-content link.
  • Visible focus outlines on links, buttons, and form fields.
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and labelled icon-only buttons.
  • Semantic headings and landmarks for screen-reader navigation.
  • Colour combinations checked for contrast, with meaning never carried by colour alone.
  • Text that reflows and stays readable when zoomed to 200%.
  • Reduced-motion support for animations.

Where we're still working

Some directory tables are dense on small screens, and a few third-party documents we link to are not fully tagged PDFs. We are improving both, and we can always send you an accessible version of any resource on request.

Tell us what's broken

If any part of this site is hard to use, please contact us and describe what happened and the device or assistive technology you were using. We respond within 5 business days and will provide the information you needed in another format in the meantime.
